Under the direction of Ron-Dirk Entleutner, Conductor and Dr. Brook Larson, Artistic Director

The Landesjugendchor Sachsen brings together young, music-loving singers from all parts of Saxony under the umbrella of the Saxon Choir Association. The ensemble was founded in 2008 by Marcus Friedrich. A wide dynamic and musical range, a varied repertoire and – according to the press – “unique, unmistakable sense of sound” are hallmarks of the National Youth Choir and distinguish it today.

The Landesjugendchor consists of young people between the ages of 16 and 30 who already have vocal and choral experience and want to deepen them through a qualified work at a high level in rehearsals as well as in professional voice training. The choir members meet several times a year in different locations to develop and perform diverse and demanding choral programs in several days of rehearsal sit-prolication. The repertoire ranges from old masters such as Heinrich Schütz, Claudio Monteverdi, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Johannes Brahms to modern American composers such as Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo and Eric Whitacre as well as works of jazz and popular music. One project a year is dedicated to a choral symphonic work
