Boys to Men 2017

For the eighth consecutive year, the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix hosts Boys to Men, an annual festival promoting community-wide access to choral training and development for young male singers. The festival is Saturday, Nov. 4 – 4:30 p.m. at Central High School, 4525 N. Central Ave, Phoenix.
Boys to Men features junior high and high school male singers from around the Valley and beyond who will come together with adult male choruses from the Phoenix area for an afternoon of education and inspiration, followed by performances from individual choruses and a combined choir finale. This year, Dr. Mary Spencer (Gilbert High School) and Mr. Jordan Rakita (Heritage Academy, Mesa), will be joining Dr. Brook Carter Larson, Artistic Director of Orpheus, in leading the mass choir of more than 200 singers
In addition to the Orpheus Male Chorus, other community groups participating at the 2017 Boys to Men are the men of Phoenix Chorale and A Cappella Syndicate and the Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus. Schools participating are Brophy Preparatory Academy, Chandler Preparatory Academy, Phoenix Children’s Chorus, Heritage Academy, Central High School, North High School, and Pinnacle High School.
